Rose is a very quiet and gentle mare who was sent for meat very tired and underweight after a lifetime of hard work.

Rose is well broke to drive but we don’t want her going to a home that will make her work, she has done enough of that.  Something she would enjoy at her age, after the hard life she has had is being groomed and given love and attention to each and every day.  She could also lead line a child around with ease, but it is quality time with her new family that she would love the most.

Rose would be great for a person or family who want a horse that will not push or test them.  She is who she is and that is a very well mannered, slow moving horse that is calm and gentle.  She can be shy with people she does not know, but warms up to those she has a chance to meet.

Rose has great teeth, is great for the farrier and is in great shape for her age.   She is very good and gentle with other horses and donkeys.

If you can offer Rose the loving retirement home that she deserves, we would love to hear from you.

If you have any questions about Rose, please contact us at amaroq@bmts.com

If you would like to adopt Rose, please fill out a Pre-screening form.

  "Carolina"

6 year old Reg. Clydesdale mare

*Adopted*

Carolina was sent to a meat sale and came into our lives in need of the love and care that she had not been receiving.  She was bred by Anheuser Busch, purchased as a 3 year old by a very popular Clyde breeder in Ontario and then sold to a smaller breeder, who’s mares were sent to auction after he passed away.

She spent the last 3 months with us, 2 of which she has been on the EPSM diet.  We are so happy to tell everyone that she progressed amazingly well in just 2 months and we hope to see even more improvement in the coming months.

She has been placed in a home that will continue to give her the diet requirements she needs.   Her new friends are Prince and Peanut, 2 former adoptees from SAD.   They are living happily together, although Carolina is now the Queen of the Barn.

Her job is to be a loved family horse with the possibility of light pleasure riding in her future.

Special thanks to Dr. Beth Valentine.
